Use this calculator when you need to determine how much more glycol is required to lower the freeze point to already filled chilled water loop. Note this calculation takes into account that some of the glycol in the circuit must be removed to add higher percent glycol to lower the freeze point. The glycol amount required will be more than if you had system volume to merely top off the circuit with glycol.
